The photo above I came across of two children playing in a German playground during WWII. It stuck a chord in me that I could not shake. A older sister taking care of her baby sister. The older listening for planes and bombs and in protection mode. The emotion of love displayed before you even understand the name for it.

There are so many different battles in this life that a person is faced with. Some of which have nothing to do with war. A battle lost, and the result is we all lost an infectious smile, and more than that for some.

Well…folks it is said we are going to lose this city because of global warming. Who would have thought that we would allow such a drowning on our watch? I mourn its death and who I thought the human race could have been.
